The 24th of September the PART Museum has opened inside the prestigious mediaeval setting of Palazzo dell'Arengo and Palazzo del Podestà in Rimini city center. HERMANN NITSCH - TRETYAKOV GALLERY

Three large format paintings by Hermann Nitsch are now part of the permanent collection of the prestigious Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. HERMANN NITSCH - "NEW WORKS"

From 1 July the Nitsch Museum in Mistelbach reopens to visitors with a brand new exhibition "Hermann Nitsch - New Works". On display will be some 80 large-format paintings realized between July 2019 and April 2020. These current works captivate with completely new, bright colour compositions, inspired by peonies and other spring flowers. Michael Karrer, the artistic director of the museum, was pleasantly impressed: "Nitsch used the colours of the flowers and wanted to capture not only their colour palette, but rather the light of these flowers. Mia Photo Fair will be further postponed to spring 2021. Initially the fair organization team thought of a possible edition in September 2020, following the safety guidelines of AEFI - Associazione Esposizioni e Fiere Italiane and of UFI - The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry; an edition without the opening and with a limited number of visitors. GERMANO CELANT DIED OF CORONA VIRUS

The art critic and curator Germano Celant passed away the 29th of April 2020, due to complications from corona virus. Theorist of Arte Povera and Conceptual Art, he promoted the Italian art abroad. Celant curated recently the solo exhibition "Emilio Isgrò" at Fondazione Cini in Venice, autumn 2019. Tuesday 18 February 2020 at Circolo dei Lettori in Turin Emilio Isgrò, together with Luca Beatrice, will present his poetry book Quel che resta di Dio, published by Guanda. Main theme of the brand new literary work by the Sicilian artist is the virtual comunication's hegemony in today's society.The poems in this book were written for the vast majority between 1981 and 2019, and many of them have been the subject of modifications during this long period of time.The language of Isgrò ranges from high registers to more colloquial ones, re-elaborating the classical schemes of the European and Italian poetic tradition, such as sonnet, tercet and the chanson.
